Megapixels does not happen much — the digital back 1st in the world by permission of 60,5 Megapixels
The Phase One company announced release of a digital back of P 65 + and the modular P 65 chamber + — 2 goods which are based on the Sensor technology + by CCD developed together with DALSA Semiconductor. On the Sensor technology + the patent application is submitted. The company carries possibility of a configuration of the size of pixel and the image file, the overestimated sensitivity and the expanded dynamic range, the increased elasticity to its advantages in work and the overestimated speed of shooting.
The back and the chamber can be modernized simply in process of emergence of more perfect decisions, the producer emphasizes. But the main feature of Phase One P 65 + consists that the digital back and the modular chamber form the means of digital polnokadrovy shooting 1st in the world in a format 645. The sensor area on which the image is formed, represents a rectangle of the impressing size — 53,9 x 40,4 mm. It for 20 % more than the area of polnokadrovy sensors permission of 39 or 50 Megapixels (48 x 36 mm), the available in already on sale or announced chambers. The size of the file with one shot of the image acquired by means of a new digital back, is equal 180 MB (information on each point is presented by 8 bits for each color channel, all in a matrix of 8984 x 6732 pixels).
Speed of shooting even at such impressing permission remained at height — to make a picture, enough one second. According to the company, the dynamic range of a product is equal 12,5 feet.
Novelties will be shown at the Photokina exhibition in September. The beginning of deliveries of a digital back of P 65 + is expected in the fourth quarter. Its cost begins with a mark of $39900; cost of the modular P 65 chamber + — from $41990. Reception of preparatory orders is begun.
