A few days ago the Olympus company announced release of the E-30 model which has filled up a series of SLR cameras with replaceable lenses of Olympus E-System. Positioned as the model of the average level, E-30 is created for a wide range of consumers: from beginning fans to the most experienced photographers. It will take a place between the E-520 and E-3 models. The E-30 chamber is compatible to a standard of Four Thirds System and should seem on sale in the first quarter 2009.

The producer refers the Art Filters function, possibility of a choice of 1 of 9 ratios of the parties of a shot, a quick auto focus, vising possibility to the main features of a product on the built-in monitor (Live View). By the way, the HyperCrystal II screen can be turned concerning 2 axes.

In the chamber it is used 12,3-Mp the detector Live MOS, the microprocessor of images of TruePic III + and the integrated system of stabilization of the image, according to the company, 5EV providing a prize.

The system of automatic focusing is borrowed at the E-3 chamber and has 11 crosswise points. The chamber is capable to do to 5 shots in a second. The small endurance is equal 1/8000 pages.

The Art Filters function mentioned above represents a set of graphic filters which can be applied to a picture (Pop Art, Soft Focus, etc. — only 6 pieces). The effects received by means of these filters, in other chambers are reached by means of optical accessories and processing of pictures in the graphic editor.
